Attachments on a deal
A deal's own page holds an Attachments section for uploading files or adding links, for a knowledge-bank document or a recording attached there from a search, and for removing one — which takes the file with it.
Upload a file, or add a link
A deal's own page has an Attachments section. Upload lets you pick one or more files straight from your device — images, PDF, Office documents, TXT, CSV, audio or video, up to 25 MB each — and Add link takes a URL and an optional title instead, for anything that lives outside the deal, like a shared document or a page on the web.
Attaching a knowledge-bank document or a recording
An attachment doesn't have to start as an upload. A document already sitting in the Knowledge Bank, or a recording, can be put onto a deal too, and it shows up in the same Attachments list as anything uploaded directly. Finding one to attach this way starts with a search rather than the deal's page itself — see finding documents for how that search works and how a result gets attached from it.
A recording can reach a record another way, and it lands somewhere else when it does: linked from the Recordings studio, it shows up in a Meetings section on the company, contact or deal rather than in this list — see linking a recording to a CRM record.
Removing an attachment
Each attachment has a Remove attachment control next to it. Using it takes the attachment off the deal straight away, with nothing further to confirm — and an uploaded file goes with it, so a file you might still want is worth downloading first. Anyone on the team can remove one, not only an admin or a manager.
What this isn't
This is a deal's own attachments, not an email attachment. See drafting and sending email for how attachments work on the email side instead.
Where it works
Uploading a file, adding a link, and removing an attachment all happen on the deal's own page. Attaching a knowledge-bank document or a recording that a search turned up is different: that's something you ask emily for, in conversation, rather than a button on the deal itself.
CRM works on web chat, browser voice and WhatsApp. Not on a phone call.
