Reading your inbox

Ask emily what's in your inbox and have her read messages back to you, once your own mailbox is connected.

Ask her what's there

Once your mailbox is connected, ask things like:

  • "What's in my inbox?"
  • "Any new emails from [Client]?"
  • "Read me the last email from [Colleague]."

She lists what's there and reads messages back to you, the same way whether you've connected Outlook, Gmail, or an IMAP mailbox.

Your own inbox, not the whole organisation

Email access is per person, not organisation-wide. Each person connects their own mailbox, and what emily can read is scoped to that account — she doesn't reach into a colleague's inbox on your behalf, and a colleague can't see yours through her either.

Needs your mailbox connected

If your mailbox isn't connected yet, emily says so and points you to Settings → Connected Accounts rather than guessing at what might be there. See connect calendar and mailbox for how to connect Outlook, Gmail, or IMAP.

Next: drafting a reply

Once she's told you what's there, ask her to draft a reply or a new message — see drafting and sending email.
