CRM overview
Companies, contacts and deals linked together, with notes, tasks and attachments alongside, on screens and in conversation — or connect the CRM you already use.
Companies, contacts and deals, linked together
emily's CRM follows the shape most sales teams already think in: a company holds contacts, and a company or a contact can be tied to one or more deals. Open any one of the three and you can get to the others from there — a deal points back to its company and contact, a contact points back to its company, and a company lists the contacts and deals under it.
Notes, tasks and attachments ride alongside
Three more things attach to that structure:
- Notes — a dated entry on a company, a contact or a deal, most often a recap of a visit or a call. See logging a visit by voice for the most common way these get created.
- Tasks — a to-do with a due date and a priority, optionally linked to a company, contact or deal, and assignable to whoever should handle it. See tasks for how these differ from a reminder or a scheduled automation.
- Attachments — a file, a link, or a document from elsewhere in emily, attached to a deal.
The screens exist as well as the conversation
None of this is only something you talk about: it's also a set of screens you can open, scroll through and click into, showing the same companies, contacts, deals, notes and tasks either way. See the CRM workspace for a tour of what's there.
Connect the CRM you already use
If your team already runs a CRM and keeps it current, it can be connected instead of, or alongside, this one. Once connected, emily can answer questions from it and make updates in it, the same way she does for the CRM built in here.
Where it works
CRM works on web chat, browser voice and WhatsApp. Not on a phone call — it's specifically one of the things WhatsApp adds on top of the phone experience.
Wherever it does work, it's the same CRM: the same companies, contacts, deals, notes, tasks and attachments, whichever of the three you're using at the time.
Not a replacement for a heavyweight CRM
This isn't meant to replace a dedicated CRM platform if your team already runs one and keeps it current — connecting that CRM instead is the better fit then. Absent that, it's built for the more common situation: the CRM a team actually keeps updated, because updating it is as easy as telling emily about a visit in your own words, on whichever channel you're already using.
