Deals

Ask emily to create, update or look up a deal — its value, currency, close date, stage and description, plus any fields your organisation has added — tied to the right company and contact, and filter what's open by stage, company or contact.

A deal ties a company and a contact to an opportunity

A deal ties back to the company it's with, and usually to a contact there too. Ask emily about a deal by name, or ask what's open for a given company or contact, and she reads back its stage, its close date, its value and whatever's logged against it.

What a deal record holds

Alongside its title, a deal carries a Value, a Currency, a Close date and a Stage, plus a free-form Description — a multi-line block of text. A new deal defaults its currency to GBP — give emily a different one if that's not what the opportunity is actually priced in. Once a deal has its own page, a running Notes section sits alongside these fields for anything logged against it after the fact, separate from the Description — see notes for that dated timeline.

That list isn't closed. An admin can define extra fields for deals, and each one then appears on every deal alongside the rest — see pipeline stages for the Settings section they're set up in.

No close date? 30 days out, by default

Create a deal without naming one, and emily sets a close date automatically: 30 days from today. Give her a specific date instead — "fecha a 15 de outubro" — and that's the one she uses.

Looking deals up

Ask emily what's open, and she can narrow it down by stage, by company or by contact — "que negócios estão na Acme?" or "o que está em fase de proposta agora?" — rather than reading back everything at once.

Where it works

CRM works on web chat, browser voice and WhatsApp. Not on a phone call.
