Connect calendar and mailbox

Connect a calendar and mailbox so emily can check your agenda and handle email for you.

"Move my meeting with Carolina to 3pm"

Once your calendar and mailbox are connected, emily can look at your day, book or reschedule meetings, and read and draft email — all with a confirmation before anything that reaches someone else's inbox.

Calendars

She works with Outlook (Microsoft) and Google Calendar, and with iCal / Apple calendars.

  • On Outlook or Google Calendar, she can list what's coming up, and create, move or cancel events — she always confirms with you first, and moving an event changes the existing one rather than creating a duplicate.
  • iCal and Apple calendars are read-only. She can see what's on them, but can't create, move or cancel anything there — she'll say so if you ask.

Mailboxes

She works with Outlook, Gmail, and IMAP mailboxes. On any of them she can read your inbox and draft an email for your review before it goes anywhere.

Where the email actually gets sent from depends on which mailbox you connect:

MailboxSends from your own account?
OutlookYes — it lands in your real Sent folder.
IMAPYes — same as Outlook.
GmailNot yet. Reading and drafting work today; sending from your own Gmail account is pending approval and isn't available yet. emily will tell you this herself if you ask her to send from Gmail.

If an email can't be delivered, emily says so and why — she never tells you something was sent when it wasn't.

How to connect

Go to Settings → Connected Accounts, or just ask emily — see connect by asking.
