Audit trail

Every CRM change carries who, what, when and which channel it came from — and deletes are reversible, with one exception.

Who, what, when, and how

Every change emily makes to a company, contact, deal, note or task in your CRM is recorded with who made it, what changed, when, and which channel it came from — voice, WhatsApp, or web chat. If a figure or a record looks off, you can trace it back to the question that produced it.

Deletes are reversible, and mostly restricted

Deleting a company, contact, deal or note is a soft delete — it can be recovered — and it's restricted to managers and admins. A rep can log and update records inside their own scope, but can't be the one to delete them.

Tasks are the one exception on who can delete: any user can delete one, not only managers and admins — a task that's been assigned out and is waiting on a review included.

One thing doesn't come back, though. Take a file off a deal's Attachments and the file itself goes with it, rather than being hidden and recoverable like the records above — see attachments on a deal.

Why this matters

Because every change carries a channel and a person, nothing lands in your CRM anonymously — a note logged from a WhatsApp voice note is traceable back to the rep who left it, the same as one typed in web chat. Combined with access by person, company and topic, this means you can always answer "who touched this, and were they even allowed to."
