Set up your team
Invite your team, choose a role for each person, and manage how many seats your org has.
"Add Carolina to emily"
Setting someone up takes one invite. From Settings, an admin uses Invite Team Member, enters a teammate's email, and picks a role for them. Emily confirms with "Invitation sent," with an option to Invite another if there's more than one person to add. That role decides what emily will and won't do for that person from then on, in every channel.
Three roles
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Everyday use, same as everyone: ask emily about the companies and topics they've been given access to, delegate tasks and notify colleagues, and use the CRM (deletes are admin/manager-only, except a rep's own tasks, which anyone can delete). Plus, admin-only: subscription, seats and billing — asking about usage or runrate, and adding or removing seats — and choosing which companies and topics each teammate can see (see access by company and topic). |
| Manager | Everyday use, same as everyone: ask emily about the companies and topics they've been given access to, delegate tasks and notify colleagues, and use the CRM (deletes are admin/manager-only, except a rep's own tasks, which anyone can delete). Plus, the same subscription, seats and billing access as an admin — asking about usage or runrate, and adding or removing seats. Choosing what each teammate can see stays admin-only. |
| Rep | Ask emily about the companies and topics they've been given access to, delegate tasks and notify colleagues, and use the CRM within that scope — logging, updating and deleting their own tasks, though only an admin or manager can delete a company, contact, deal or note. Billing, seats and access scoping are off-limits; that's an admin/manager conversation. |
Billing and seats are an admin/manager conversation. If a rep asks emily to change seats or discuss pricing, she'll decline and point them to a team administrator — that's a hard rule, not a preference you can turn off per person.
Seats
Your plan has a maximum number of seats, shown as Active Seats Allocated against your Active Plan. An admin or manager can ask emily directly — "add two seats" — or change it from Settings. Either way, only admins and managers can change seat count; reps can't, and emily won't do it for them.
Next: decide what each person can see
Inviting someone gives them an emily account, not blanket access. The next step is scoping what each teammate can ask about — see access by company and topic.
